Weaves and weave guides

This section contains a range of accessories and replacement parts for your weaves.

Many types of weaves sets have been produced in the UK and the flexibility of the Royal Kennel Club regulations has led to a range of interpretations and some disparity between manufacturers. Prior to 2010 the separation between upright poles was variable between brands and pole diameter still is. Originally poles were made of wood but latterly nearly all brands are hollow plastic tube. Pole length and decoration varies between manufacturers.

Creating accessories, spares and replacements for weaves is especially difficult in this terrain and we recommend you establish the pole diameter of your weaves before ordering. Please pay special attention to the critical dimensions of the products and if in any doubt we are always happy to answer any questions or create custom solutions.

In general weave sets made by First Contact (Naylor) have poles that fit inside a cup on the weave base and are 34mm or 35mm in diameter. A more standard tube size of 36mm can be found on a number of smaller independent weave manufacturers and these generally fit on the outside of a weave base cup. FCI standard weaves from Bing, Calliway and Galican tend to have a 32mm diameter, taller poles but even Galican have multiple methods of base attachment so please check twice that you have the correct product for the application intended.
